Collections Management Intern - Registrar's Department
During the summer of 2015, I interned at Hagley Museum & Library in the registrar’s department to help accession nearly 5,000 Du Pont Vehicle Color Cards. I worked primarily on my own carefully recording, analyzing the color, and entering these cards’ data into Microsoft’s Excel. Part of my job was to create a proposal for rehousing the cards and then remove and organize the cards that could be utilized for exhibition, which can be viewed upon request. The cards are currently being presented in Hagley’s “Driving Desire: Automobile Advertising and the American Dream” exhibit. In addition its connection to the Du Pont cards, I was tasked with the project of rehousing blueprints from Hercules Powder Co.
